Can you believe it? This year marks the 40th Annual Scholarship Golf Benefit!
For four decades, this event has brought together supporters from across Michigan to celebrate journalism, community and the important work of the Michigan Press Foundation.
And this year, we’re making it bigger, more fun and more memorable than ever.
Join friends, colleagues and supporters of community journalism for the 40th Annual MPA Foundation Scholarship Golf Benefit, where every swing helps support scholarships for the next generation of journalists and media professionals.

- $750 per foursome
- $225 single golfer
Register before July 17 to lock in discounted prices.
Your day includes:
- 18 holes of golf
- Lunch & dinner
- Skill challenges and contests

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with an 11 a.m. shotgun start, so come early to warm up on the range, enjoy lunch and compete for this year’s coveted Putting Champion title!
We’ll play the beautiful Metamora course in our traditional alternate-shot format, complete with on-course games, challenges and our always-popular betting hole.
After golf, stick around for a delicious cookout dinner, prizes, auction winners and stories from the day.
A couple of notes:
We’ll once again use a convenient cashless format. Charges during the event can be settled by credit or debit card at the end of the day.
(Though if you’re personally keeping the beverage cart in business… you already know the rules.)
Even if you can’t make it to the course, you can still support the Foundation by doing one of the following:
