College Membership

4-year school annual dues: $125
2-year school annual dues: $100

Student Newspaper Membership is limited to publications from colleges published in Michigan. MPA Student Newspaper members can enter a newspaper contest, have access to our legal/libel hotline, attend MPA conferences at special reduced rates, network with other students who aspire to become journalists, access the Free Member Exchange to find a career in the newspaper industry, and have plenty of opportunities to keep in touch with member newspaper seeking new talent as students enter the workforce.

Members in good standing are eligible to receive MPA newsletters; obtain advice from MPA’s legal counsel; participate in the MPA Annual Convention; and enter the annual College Better Newspaper Contest.

Memberships are per newspaper rather than for individual personnel. College newspaper advisors are members of the Michigan Collegiate Press Association by default and are encouraged to join the Facebook Group.
